2/20/18 6:37 a.m. A stereo was taken overnight from a Volkswagen Jetta on Ridgewood Road.
2/22/18 4:26 p.m. A gym bag was taken from a Volkswagen GTI on 35th Court.
2/26/18 10:57 a.m. A 10-foot-long, yellow Equinox kayak was stolen sometime in the past two weeks from the Maple Circle easement on Oswego Lake.
2/26/18 11:04 a.m. A tote bag and boots were stolen from a Dodge Ram pickup and a work bag and toiletries were taken from a Kia Sportage on Eaglecrest Drive.
2/26/18 12:05 p.m. Three hunting bows, a folding kayak, golf clubs and a backpack with binoculars inside were taken from an attached garage by theives who apparently entered through an unlocked door.
2/26/18 12:23 p.m. Thieves also apparently entered another attached garage through an unlocked door sometime in the past few weeks and took two 18-speed Trek mountain bikes.
2/23/18 4:50 p.m. A Craigslist seller discovered that a check he had received was fraudulent when he tried to cash it at a bank on Bryant Road.
2/24/18 9:06 a.m. A Lake Oswego man discovered that unauthorized charges had been made on his credit card.
2/17/18 10:24 p.m. Neighbors reported a resident for loud hammering at his house. The resident was advised of the city's noise ordinance.
2/20/18 6:24 a.m. A caller from Florida planned to buy a puppy online from somewhere in Oregon and just wanted a little advice.
2/20/18 2:37 p.m. An eighth-grader on his way home from Lakeridge Junior High called police from a school bus to say that the driver had pulled to the side of the road and wouldn't let him off. Turns out the caller was one of two students who had been causing trouble on the bus from the time it left LJH, bullying a sixth-grader and taunting the driver. The driver stopped the bus and called school and bus company officials, who responded to the scene and dealt with the offenders.
2/20/18 4:20 p.m. A caller tipped off police to a man who reportedly claimed to steal items from boxes left outside the Goodwill drop-off location on State Street and then sell or trade the stuff. According to the caller, the man also bragged about having no intention of paying the $1,000 in tickets he's racked up from the LOPD.
2/21/18 12:48 a.m. A 16-year-old girl ran away from the Robinswood group home on Christie Drive. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants and driving a silver 2012 Jeep Patriot.
2/21/18 1:55 p.m. A woman asked police what she should do about a neighbor who keeps putting his trash in her bins. Adivce and options were dispensed.
2/21/18 5:01 p.m. When two men came to the door and peeked inside without ringing the bell, a frightened homeowner called police. The curious men were gone, though, by the time officers arrived.
2/21/18 5:57 p.m. A woman told police she received a text from an unknown number, apparently sent by an older male in a hotel room.
2/22/18 12:32 p.m. An anonymous caller tipped police off to a number of parked cars facing in the wrong direction on Greentree Circle. Officers responded with warnings for all of the misguided motorists.
2/22/18 4:43 p.m. There appears to be an ongoing issue with a man who takes his dog for walks on the fields at Lake Oswego Junior High and doesn't clean up the mess his pet leaves behind. The latest incident prompted a call to police, but the man and his pooch were gone by the time officers arrived.
2/23/18 4:15 p.m. When police confronted an older female driver who had reportedly been swerving and running stop signs along B Avenue, they discovered that she had been eating while driving. The perils of distracted driving were discussed.
2/23/18 6:58 p.m. A 16-year-old boy ran away from the Robinswood facility on Christie Drive. He was described as 5-feet-8-inches tall and 160 pounds, with dyed red/pink hair, and was last seen wearing a black zip hoodie.
2/23/18 7:07 p.m. Whooo would have guessed that this story would end well? A small owl flew into a car and then lay stunned on the side of the road near Hallinan Circle and Hallinan Street — prompting a call to police — before eventually shaking it off and flying away unharmed.

2/24/18 12:08 a.m. A resident of Third Street told police he isn't happy about the noisy construction tarp flapping in the wind on a neighbor's home.
2/24/18 11:14 p.m. A resident of Canal Road said he didn't realize how loud his outdoor speakers were and promised to turn them off after neighbors complained.
2/25/18 10:10 a.m. Several "lost cat" signs were removed from public right-of-ways throughout the day near Bryant and Childs roads; near Coho Lane and River Run Drive; near 35th Place and Child Road; near Jean and Pilkington roads; on Lakeview Boulevard; and from River Run Park.
