SLIDESHOW: A very important date
Lake Oswego fathers and daughters donned their best attire and journeyed down the rabbit hole on Saturday night for "Twilight in Wonderland," the Parks & Recreation Department's annual dinner and dance at Palisades.
Eighty-six girls enjoyed a "very important date" with their dads, who came dressed in everything from tuxedoes and suits to full-on Mad Hatter regalia. Together, they walked through a giant chess set filled with bubbles and past glittery soldiers to a ballroom Alice herself would adore.
Every girl got a balloon and a Mad Hatter hat on a headband, along with dinner (featuring bowtie pasta, of course), cupcakes donated by Albertsons and music choreographed by DJ Shawn Stokes.
Judging by the smiles, it was a magical evening — and there's nothing "curiouser and curioser" about that.
