4/25/18 9:56 a.m. A silver Toyota Prius reported stolen in Portland was recovered in an apartment parking lot on Kerr Parkway. A caller told police the vehicle had been there for at least two weeks.


4/26/18 11:30 a.m. A neighbor reportedly refused to hand over mail that was delivered to the wrong lock box by mistake.

4/26/18 2:19 p.m. A large plant and planter were taken overnight from outside a home on Jefferson Parkway.

4/26/18 3:05 p.m. Part of a Yakima Load Warrior roof rack was stolen from the top of a vehicle in the parking lot at One Jefferson Parkway.

4/26/18 5:56 p.m. An underage woman dressed in a white halter top and short shorts walked out of the downtown Safeway store without paying for a case of Mike's Hard Lemonade.

4/28/18 8:51 p.m. Two girls in their late teens reportedly stole beer and chewing gum from a convenience store on Pilkington Road. One of the girls wore a black dress, red sweater and white shoes; the other was dressed in a blue tank top and jeans. Both were last seen heading toward Boones Ferry Road in a silver Honda Civic.

4/29/18 11:09 a.m. A woman told police that someone stole tools from the toolbox in her brother's truck while he was helping her move into her new apartment.

4/30/18 11:48 a.m. Thieves smashed a window and stole a laptop from a Honda CRV on Childs Road.


4/24/18 3:48 p.m. A local business paid $2,000 to a company that claimed to have provided printer toner, only to discover that the invoices were fraudulent.

4/26/18 4:35 p.m. A woman told police she was the target of a widely reported scam in which a caller claims to be from AppleCare, gains access to victims' computers and demands payment in gift cards. The woman said she had given the scammers $4,000.

4/27/18 4:15 p.m. A man told police he had received a fraudulent cashier's check in what he now believes was a Craigslist scam.


4/21/18 10:19 p.m. A group of four pre-teen boys dresssed in dark-colored hoodies reportedly dislodged a handicapped parking sign and started dragging it around the Safeway parking lot on A Avenue.

4/22/18 9:51 a.m. A man with a beer can in his hand and a case of Rolling Rock nearby appeared to have passed out near Third Street and Lake Bay Court.

4/22/18 12:19 p.m. A man told police that one of his co-workers had head-butted him. He had a bruise, he said, but didn't need medical attention.

4/22/18 1:27 p.m. A homeowner on Marylshire Lane told police he awoke to find scum and soap suds in his pond.

4/23/18 1:43 a.m. A man told police that he had been dropped off by a Lyft driver near Boones Ferry Road and Rainbow Drive and now was lost. He said he'd wait at the intersection for help.

4/23/18 11:24 a.m. A homeowner on Upper Devon Lane said crews were topping multiple trees nearby and debris was falling everywhere. Her concern, she told police, was that some of it might hit her house.

4/23/18 8:59 p.m. The driver of a silver Nissan Sentra pulled out of a gas station on Boones Ferry Road before the hose had been removed from his car. Employees shut off the gas and told police the suspect was last seen heading toward Reese Road.

4/24/18 12:17 p.m. A neighbor slid his finger across his neck in what a man took to be an obvious death threat, prompting a nervous call to police.

4/24/18 1:30 p.m. A woman told police that someone placed rat poison in a common area off Del Prado and that postings on the neighborhood website Nextdoor indicated two dogs had already been taken to the vet.

4/24/18 6:06 p.m. A group of 20 kids apparently thought it was funny to spray lighter fluid on a boy's sweatshirt, light it on fire and watch as their friend jumped into the river from the dolphin statue off Oswego Pointe Drive. An onlooker was not amused and called police.

4/25/18 8:05 a.m. Pranksters egged the front and back of The Foundry on Oswego Pointe Drive overnight.

4/25/18 9:27 a.m. Someone shot an arrow into a front yard on Edgemont Road, where the homeowner's two dogs were playing. Neither dog was injured.

4/25/18 11:19 a.m. A caller told police that he needed to retrieve his lacrosse gear from his dad's house while his dad was out of town, but he doesn't get along with the woman who was staying there — a woman who would "totally pull a knife" on him, he said, because she's just "that kind of person" — and so he needed some advice on how to proceed.

4/25/18 11:21 a.m. A resident of Upper Devon Lane reported that her neighbor had cut down trees and that she didn't think he had a permit to do so. The city's code enforcement officer was alerted.

4/25/18 11:34 a.m. Two teenagers who came home from school during their lunch break were reportedly smoking weed in the backyard next door, a caller told police.

4/25/18 12:44 p.m. A basset hound was once again spotted running in the woods behind a home on Grouse Terrace. This time, however, the pooch was accompanied by a small black dog.

4/25/18 12:58 p.m. An Uber driver called to ask where he could legally place an Uber sticker on his vehicle, because he had heard that it was illegal for it to be on a side window. Police promptly told him where to stick it.

4/25/18 5:47 p.m. A group of teenagers were reportedly swimming near the dock in Foothills Park, despite the No Swimming sign posted nearby.

4/26/18 1:33 a.m. A caller told police she could hear people hitting golf balls from the driving range at the Oswego Lake Country Club, Wouldn't be a big deal, she said, if it weren't the middle of the night.

4/26/18 1:43 p.m. A mother was reported to the Department of Human Services after admitting that she had given her son her prescription medication for back pain and he tested positive on a drug test.

4/27/18 6:10 a.m. Employees arriving at the DMV office on Monroe Parkway discovered that a leaking pipe had sent water cascading throughout the building. Officials said it could take up to two weeks to dry the structure and repair it; the office will remain clos-

ed while those repairs are made.

4/27/18 12:03 p.m. Police were asked to be on the lookout for a man on a dirtbike who was reportedly weaving in and out of traffic near Bangy Road and Kruse Way.

4/28/18 12:07 p.m. A tree located just south of the rowing facility on the Willamette River looked like it had been vandalized with an ax, a concerned caller told police, prompting fears that someone was trying to kill it.
