Thousands flock to Lake Oswego for the 19th-annual Oswego Heritage Council Collector Car and Classic Boat Show

T?he smoke cleared, the sun came out and thousands of people from across the Portland metro region flocked to Lake Oswego last weekend for the Oswego Heritage Council's 19th annual Collector Car and Boat Show, sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover of Portland.

The two-day event saw hundreds of impressive pieces of engineering and machinery pour into three venues across Lake Oswego including classic boats at

Sundeleaf Plaza, military and public service vehicles at Foothills Park and hundreds of automobiles packed onto the field at George Rogers Park.

Land Rovers, Jaguars, Cadillacs, Fords, Porsches, Packards and dozens of other classic and luxury automakers were represented at the car show Sunday, Aug. 19.

Families got the opportunity to get a tour and in-depth look at PT 658, the only World War II-era patrol boat still in working operation, as well as a variety of other military vehicles in Foothills Park both Saturday and Sunday while dozens of wooden and antique boats filled Lakewood Bay.
