BABYSITTER TRAINING (OCT. 12): Future babysitters can learn about accident prevention, handling emergencies, first aid and child development, positive supervision and the rights and responsibilities of a "good" babysitter at a training session offered by Lake Oswego Parks & Rec. FARMERS MARKET (OCT. 13): The Lake Oswego Farmers Market returns to Millennium Plaza Park (200 First St.) on Saturday for the last market of the season, with more than 80 vendors offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, cheeses, baked goods, hot foods, artisan products and nursery items. There's a special treat awaiting this week's market-goers, too: horse-drawn wagon rides, which will depart every half-hour starting at 9 a.m. Reservations are required for some of the rides; others will be available on a first come, first served basis.
