MEET A DREAMER (FEB. 24): Meet and talk with DACA dreamer Luis Balderas-Villagrana in a Lake Oswego Reads presentation that had to be rescheduled because of inclement weather earlier in February. Now, it will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Oswego Heritage House (398 10th St., Lake Oswego). Balderas-Villagrana, a junior and the student body president at Portland State University, qualified under the Federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program after coming to the United States with his family when he was 7 to escape the violence of drug cartels in Mexico. He'll talk about growing up as an immigrant in Eastern Oregon and about his hopes and dreams for the future.
RIVERGROVE WATER DISTRICT (FEB. 25): The Board of Commisisoners of the Rivergrove Water District will hold a public hearing and regular monthly meeting at 7:30 a.m. Monday at 17661 Pilkington Road in Lake Oswego.
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT (FEB. 25): Running out of room on your couch? Let the staff at the Lake Oswego Public Library (706 Fourth St.) provide the big screen, cozy blankets to sit on and snacks for Family Movie Night from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Licensing agreements prohibit the library from announcing the movie title, but here's a hint: "Come to see the animated movie where Ralph wrecks things. (We're showing the first one this month, and the new one in March. We're having a Ralphathon!"
