Bite-Sized Blotter: Salted cars, PDA and a very bad first day
The Lake Oswego police log is, shall we say, rather popular. We even made a book out of it a few years ago, and people still come into the office in search of a copy.
So with that in mind, we present the Bite-Sized Blotter — a Wednesday sneak peek at the week's calls before the whole log posts Thursday.
5/1 5:31 p.m. A man said he accidentally parked in the wrong spot the night before, and returned to find his car covered in salt and cooking oil near the 50 block of Kerr Parkway.
5/2 11:36 a.m. A caller said he'd just escorted a new employee off the premises after he showed up "visibly drunk" on his first day.
5/3 5:21 p.m. A caller said people were having sex in a vehicle near McVey Avenue and Lee Street. The woman in the car said she was grooming the man's eyebrows.
5/5 12:29 a.m. A caller had been hearing a "strange noise" from the trees for several hours near the 3400 block of Lakeview Boulevard. It turned out to be coming from a house that had a fan blowing on plastic that was covering a window.
5/5 6:58 p.m. Construction activity was "just too loud" near Lakeview Boulevard and S.W. Lakeview Court.
