Lake Oswego is inviting residents to come out for a block party on D Avenue Wednesday afternoon to celebrate both the completion of the D Avenue Improvement Project and National Public Works Week.

The party, which will run from 4 to 7 p.m., takes place on the one-year anniversary of the D Avenue project breaking ground. The project included the reconstruction of 10 blocks on D Avenue from State Street to 10th Street, with other utility and pavement improvements made on segments of First Street, Seventh Street, Eighth Street, Ninth Street and E Avenue.

Major construction activity was finished in March.
