New YouTube channel hosts videos of City Council, planning commission and more

There's a new home for City of Lake Oswego meeting videos.

The City announced Friday that all meetings recorded on video — including the City Council, planning commission, budget committee and development review commission — will be posted on the Lake Oswego YouTube channel.

"The platform is one that many members of the viewing public are familiar with, and will continue to allow users to access all Lake Oswego meetings in one location," read a press release issued by the City. "YouTube provides a contemporary and consistent look for all meetings, is available at no cost to the City and allows administrative efficiencies for staff. It offers the added bonus of connecting the community to other resources posted on the City's channel."

The move to YouTube is part of the "Lean Oswego" program, which began in 2014 with the intent of streamlining service and processes at the City.
