Every Wednesday, we'll whet your police log appetite with the week's best entries.

The Lake Oswego police log is, shall we say, rather popular. We even made a book out of it a few years ago, and people still come into the office in search of a copy.

So with that in mind, we present the Bite-Sized Blotter — a Wednesday sneak peek at the week's calls before the whole log posts Thursday:

8/4 6:50 p.m. A baby fawn got stuck in a fence before eventually freeing itself near the 18800 block of Green Bluff Drive.

8/7 7:33 p.m. Screaming and slamming noises turned out to be a demolition worker who was singing along to loud music.

8/8 11:27 p.m. A resident said she was scared to leave her car and go in her house after seeing a raccoon on the front lawn. An officer escorted her inside and noted they were not attacked by the raccoon.

8/8 11:31 p.m. A drunk man was refusing to leave an Uber near the 10 block of Monroe Parkway.

8/9 9:31 p.m. A suspicious looking vehicle had been driving around in circles for 15 minutes near the 100 block of Oswego Summit. The driver was trying to get their baby to fall asleep.
