Buses overcrowded and routes in flux due to unregistered students using them

School is back in session, which means students are back on school buses. Bus routes and how many buses are needed are determined based on how many students are registered for the bus — but in the first weeks back to school, bussing students hasn't gone as planned.

"Many of our students who are riding school buses have not yet registered to ride the bus. This is causing overcrowding and a miscalculation in how many buses are needed," read a district statement in The Current newsletter.

"To solve this, every student who rides the bus must register," said the statement. "Thank you for helping us to ensure that all students ride safely on school buses."
