ARTspace Gallery closing through April 13 in response to COVID-19 crisis; events and programs postponed

As recently as last week, the Arts Council of Lake Oswego planned to keep its ARTspace Gallery open and continue hosting scheduled programs.

But after Gov. Kate Brown issued new restrictions Monday on gatherings larger than 25 people in response to the growing COVID-19 crisis, ACLO announced Tuesday that it was changing course.

ACLO's ARTspace Gallery, which currently features the exhibition "Zine/ZEEN/: The Art of Homemade Resistance," will close through at least April 13 and all events or programs hosted by ACLO are posponed.

"We encourage our patrons, community and staff to stay safe during this time and look forward to getting back to normal in the near future," ACLO Executive Director Nicole Nathan said in a press release. "We are looking into additional online content including programs and tours. Check our website for the most up to date information."

ACLO's reopening date will be determined based on community health developments and recommendations from federal, state and local officials, the press release stated.
