The LtP Foundation, a charity started nearly two years ago by West Linn Police Officer Catlin Blyth, has partnered with Randall's Children's Hospital to help the families of two children battling cancer who are also struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five-year-old Raul Hinojoza of Portland and Kailey Cendejas, 8, of Tigard, are both battling Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

In addition to their battles against cancer, the parents of both families have also lost jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the LtP Foundation.

"We know this Coronavirus Pandemic is affecting everyone so please don't feel pressure to donate," the LtP Foundation wrote on social media. "However if you do have the means, these are two families that deserve all the help they can get."

Blyth, a Lake Oswego native, started the LtP Foundation in 2018 with the help of six childhood friends. Since then, the organization has raised nearly $85,000 to help local families with kids fighting cancer.
