Lake Oswego City Council adopts amendment to Wastewater Master Plan
The Lake Oswego City Council adopted an amendment to the 2013 update of the Wastewater Master Plan after sewer size and age discrepancies were found between the assumptions made in 2013 and the actual sewer pipe age and sizes.
The discrepancies were found in five reaches — Downtown Trunks, River Front Trunks, Blue Heron 1, Blue Heron 2 and Forest Highlands.
The 2013 master plan recommended either repair — sewers that are adequate size but aging or deteriorating — or improvement — sewers that aren't adequately sized to convey projected wastewater flow — for sewers.
It was determined that the River Front Trunks and Forest Highlands reaches are no longer in need of repair or improvement and it is now recommended that Blue Heron 2 change from improvement to repair.
