Lake Oswego Swim Park now open for residents
Lake Oswego residents can now take a dip in the local swimming pool, which opened this month following COVID-19 safety measures and protocols.
The Lake Oswego Swim Park is located at 250 Ridgeway Road and is open only to local residents with proof of residency and a photo ID from 1-6 p.m. daily — weather permitting — through Aug. 30.
People can visit the swim park once a day for a maximum of two hours, and only 25 people are allowed in at a time. While face coverings are not required in the water, people ages 12 and older are required to wear one on land. For children ages 2-11, it is recommended.
City staff said inner tubes, lounge chairs, life jackets and other items are limited and are sanitized. Some toys are available and are sanitized as well.
Certified lifeguards are on duty during open hours and those under 12 must be accompanied by someone 16 years old, or older.
The swim park will be closed Monday, July 27, due to street maintenance on Ridgeway Road.
