Lake Oswego welcomes gourmet cookie bakery
Cookie lovers now have a new place to flock to in Lake Oswego.
Crumbl — a gourmet cookie bakery franchise — opened a location in Kruse Village Sept. 17.
The to-go cookie shop located at 4835 S.W. Meadows Drive, Suite 141, offers a weekly rotating menu that has four different flavors every week aside from the two staples — chocolate chip and chilled sugar cookies — that are always offered.
Crumbl has over 100 locations nationwide with a handful of shops in Oregon — Medford, Salem, Beaverton, Clackamas and now Lake Oswego.
"We just really liked the community here in Lake Oswego. I know it's a tight-knit community when it comes to small businesses and business owners," said Tyler Knowlden, operating partner for the Lake Oswego location. "We were super excited to get out here."
The bakery is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. until midnight Friday and Saturday.
On Sundays, the shop releases the flavors for the week on its social media platforms, and there are a total of 136 recipes.
"My personal favorite is the butterfinger," Knowlden said. "This week we have our chilled cookies and cream milkshake. That is fantastic. We have a peach cobbler, we have a lemon poppyseed that's really good; we have a Sour Patch Kid."
Crumbl also offers its own ice cream, which changes quarterly based on the cookie flavors, as well as milk and Crumbl-branded water.
Knowlden said Crumbl is unique because it's fast casual.
"We're constantly baking throughout the day," said Knowlden, adding that cookies then sit in a warmer and are dressed with frosting and toppings once the cookies are ordered. "You're actually getting something that's super fresh."
There is no indoor or outdoor seating, but Crumbl offers delivery and curbside pickup.
