Clackamas Community College theater students are taking center stage.

CCC's Theater Department will present several online plays that celebrate women writers. Performances include one-act comedies, standup comedy, clown acts and more. The performances will be offered live on the CCC Theatre Department's Facebook page at

"On the Northern Ice" — Dec. 9, 7:30 p.m.

Watch clown acts, standup comedy and "On the Northern Ice," adapted from the short story by Elia Wilkinson Peattie.

"Trifles" — Dec. 10, 7:30 p.m.

"Trifles" is an early feminist drama by Susan Glaspell. A mystery surrounding the murder of a man is solved by two neighbor women who figure it out through clues surrounding women's "trifles." Did his wife do it? Why?

"Spreading the News" — Dec. 11, 7:30 p.m.

A classic one-act Irish comedy by Lady Augusta Gregory about the perils of gossip in a small Irish village.
