Prizes offered for one-minute quiz that assesses how closely individuals and businesses follow safe COVID-19 practices.

A new online quiz designed specifically for Clackamas County residents will tell citizens how well they're doing following safe COVID-19 practices. And there are prizes involved.

Clackamas County has launched a "Clackamas Strong" quiz and campaign aimed at "building and demonstrating community support and adoption of COVID-19 safe practices," according to a release from Kimberly Dinwiddie, county spokesperson.

The quiz for individuals and businesses should require less than one minute of time, with a score tabulated quickly.

The county is encouraging those who do well to share their score to social media. Those individuals and businesses who score 100% on the quiz are listed on a scrolling list at the top of the county web page.

After the score comes up, the quiz offers simple tips on how to flatten the curve in the county.

Clackamas County remains in the "extreme spread" category as of the two-week period from Dec. 6-19. The four categories include: extreme spread, substantial spread, moderate spread and minimal spread. The county's test positivity rate for the two-week period, at 6.5%, would put the county in the moderate spread category, but the cases per 100,000 people, at 407.6, keeps the county in the extreme group.

Now for those prizes: the first 2,000 people to take the quiz will receive a limited-edition Clackamas Strong face mask, and all participants will be entered into a raffle to win gift cards to local businesses.
