Despite power outages regular meal distribution will still take place at four locations

This story has been updated from its original version.

Thursday, Feb. 18 will be a snow day for Lake Oswego School District students as widespread power outages and internet disruptions continue to halt distance learning.

Portland General Electric is reporting a delayed ability to restore power to many residents at least through Thursday.

In a message to the community on the district website, LOSD said that all online and on-site school will be canceled tomorrow. Childcare and co-curricular activities are also canceled.

Regular meal distribution, however, will still take place at all four pick-up locations.

The district said meals will be available while supplies last.

The district said it plans to add instructional days to the end of the school year to make up for these closures.

While much of Lake Oswego remains without power or internet connection, Lake Oswego City Hall is open as a Wi-Fi and charging location, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
