PMG FILE PHOTO - Highway 43 is closed Friday between Hidden Springs Road and McKillican Street on Friday, Feb. 19. The segment of Highway 43 between Hidden Springs Road and McKillican Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, as the Oregon Department of Transportation, Portland General Electric and the cities of West Linn and Lake Oswego work to restore power and clear debris.

"The closure is an all-hands effort to accomplish in one day what may otherwise require close to a week to complete," an ODOT alert read. "All four agencies will deploy crews in the effort to clear trees and restore power in an area hit hard by the recent ice storm."

Local residents and emergency vehicles will still have access to the area.
