The Springs at Lake Oswego welcomes new executive director
A new face was recently welcomed to the family at The Springs at Lake Oswego.
Howard Jacobs, who has more than 20 years of experience with The Springs Living, was hired as the new executive director at the local facility. Jacobs replaces George Wheeler, who left the position for another career opportunity.
According to a press release sent by The Springs Living Monday, April 26, Jacobs was most recently the general manager at a senior living community in the Seattle area.
Jacobs graduated from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas with a bachelor's degree in hotel administration prior to completing the Cornell School of Hotel Administration's Professional Development Program at Cornell University.
Jacobs' background includes work at luxury hotels and resorts with a focus on "lifestyle, leadership development programs, and renovation projects."
"Howard's extensive experience in hospitality is a great fit for the unique character of The Springs at Lake Oswego," said Brenda Connelly, chief operating officer for The Springs Living, in the press release. "His commitment to delivering the highest level of resident services is sure to deliver fresh ideas to create exceptional resident experiences."
As executive director, Jacobs will oversee the senior living community — a community that provides more than 100 local jobs and services like independent living, assisted living and memory care.
