Lake Oswego drive-thru donations benefit Hunger Fighters Oregon
Local service organizations will lend Lake Oswegans a helping hand this weekend.
The Rotary Club of Lake Oswego, in conjunction with Hunger Fighters Oregon, organized a drive-thru donation site from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12, at the former Arts Council of Lake Oswego building, 510 First Street.
People are encouraged to drop off items including pancake mix, syrup, jam or jelly, honey and pasta. Items will be made available through the Hunger Fighters pantry in Lake Oswego.
The Rotary works hand-in-hand with Hunger Fighters once every quarter to gather donations that focus on Hunger Fighters' needs at that given time.
"Last time we did it, I think it was personal hygiene products like shampoo and soap and those types of things," said incoming Rotary president David Wolf.
Wolf added he's grateful events like these can happen but is looking forward to having more in-person events soon.
