ACCIDENTS

8/20 10:35 a.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported near the 400 block of A Avenue. No one was injured.

THEFTS

8/20 4:34 p.m. Mail theft was reported near the 100 block of Kerr Parkway.

8/22 8:54 p.m. About $200 was stolen when a front desk agent was told something was going on upstairs and left the front desk drawer unoccupied near the 6100 block of Meadows Road.

STOLEN VEHICLES

8/22 9:38 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen near the 500 block of 1st Street.

MISC.

8/20 7:16 a.m. Someone appeared to be camping on a path near the 15700 block of Waluga Drive. Apparently there was also a "grave" dug near the tent with a pick axe and lots of beer cans nearby.

8/20 10:57 a.m. A caller said a large bird appeared to be injured near the 17500 block of Mesnard Street. Officers captured the bird, which seemed OK, and released it into the wild.

8/20 11:27 a.m. Dogs had been barking for "the past day or two" near the 16800 block of Cortez Court.

8/20 12:20 p.m. A needle and syringe were found near the 90 block of B Avenue.

8/20 12:22 p.m. A caller said someone came into their office and said they'd been told someone was trying to break into an apartment near the 200 block of Greenridge Drive, but it was unclear if this was happening. Officers watched a video of someone who tried to walk into a locked apartment, then looked up at the apartment number and walked away.

8/20 12:47 p.m. A resident was concerned about someone who didn't show up at a court hearing and wasn't answering calls.

8/20 1:30 p.m. A caller said panhandlers were playing loud music near the 10 block of Monroe Parkway. She was told they couldn't be asked to leave private property, but "didn't seem to be OK with that." Eventually the people were asked to turn down the music, and they did.

8/20 3:08 p.m. A guest at a location near the 14800 block of Kruse Oaks Drive was supposed to check out at 2 p.m., but still had bags in the room and a large meth pipe was also found.

8/20 3:29 p.m. People were seen looking in trash cans near Ellis Avenue and 6th Street.

8/20 3:46 p.m. A caller was concerned about a dog that had been in a car all day without food or water near the 4000 block of Mercantile Drive.

8/20 4:33 p.m. A resident said a women with a history of mental health issues was rinsing her patio and started yelling at them, blaming them for "the chemicals" and making threats to "blow them out of the water" and slap them.

8/20 5:01 p.m. A caller said someone was outside his house trying to sell something near the 1600 block of Larch Street, despite the fact that he had a "no soliciting" sign. The salesperson said he was from Vancouver and didn't know what "no soliciting" meant.

8/20 5:05 p.m. A verbal argument and a car honking could be heard at an undisclosed location.

8/20 6:00 p.m. A barking dog was reported near the 4100 block of Upper Drive.

8/20 7:27 p.m Police received a call about a sick cat in someone's yard near the 14100 block of Goodall Road, but when they arrived the cat walked away.

8/20 8:13 p.m. A caller said they thought someone was in jail, and now feared for their life because the person was out of jail.

8/20 10:44 p.m. A loud party was reported near the 70 block of Tanglewood Drive.

8/20 10:54 p.m. A loud party with bright lights and loud music was reported near the 19000 block of Megan Place.

8/20 11:04 p.m. A dog had apparently been barking nonstop since noon near Palisades Crest Drive and Hillside Drive.

8/20 11:36 p.m. A caller said minors were having a large party and drinking at an undisclosed location. They believed drugs might also be involved.

8/21 7:36 a.m. A suspicious looking vehicle was seen near the 600 block of S State Street.

8/21 8:41 a.m. A large, empty cooking pot was seen in the middle of a parking lot near the 200 block of Burnham Road.

8/21 9:16 a.m. A caller said they received a text with hate speech in it, and also got a harassing voicemail the night before.

8/21 9:32 a.m. A deer was "impaled" on a fence near the 300 block of 10th Street, but it was eventually freed and seemed OK.

8/21 11:27 a.m. Dogs had apparently been barking since around 9:45 a.m. near 3rd Street and D Avenue.

8/21 11:33 a.m. A man was making hand gestures and shouting to himself near the 10 block of S State Street.

8/21 11:35 a.m. A dog had been "barking and howling" for 30 minutes near 3rd Street and C Avenue.

8/21 1:35 p.m. A caller asked for someone to check on their mom, who wasn't answering the phone. The mom was fine.

8/21 2:18 p.m. Someone reported a neighborly dispute over a planter pot in the middle of a driveway near the 3200 block of Upper Drive.

8/21 4:29 p.m. A caller said someone who'd stolen from their establishment before had returned and they asked them to leave near the 100 block of A Avenue.

8/21 5:00 p.m. A resident said people were trespassing on property she was selling near the 1100 block of Crestline Court.

8/21 5:24 p.m. A woman said she was getting calls from someone who was trying to defraud her.

8/21 6:01 p.m. A suspicious looking vehicle with a mattress in it was seen near Oakridge Road and Waluga Drive.

8/21 8:31 p.m. Music in a backyard was "excessively loud" near the 2000 block of Ridge Pointe Drive.

8/21 8:35 p.m. A domestic incident was reported.

8/21 8:42 p.m. A loud power washer was reported near the 3500 block of Lakeview Boulevard.

8/21 10:44 p.m. A loud party was reported in a backyard near the 16900 block of Lakeridge Drive and apparently this was a "chronic problem."

8/21 10:44 p.m. A caller said their neighbor was playing a movie at an "excessively loud" volume after possibly getting a new sound system near the 13600 block of Johnson Terrace.

8/22 1:02 a.m. A possible DUII was reported near the 700 block of McVey Avenue.

8/22 2:00 a.m. A caller said around 7:30 p.m. the night before, they saw two cars pull up and someone tried to push a woman into one of the cars. They claimed to be the woman's parents and it turned out that was the case.

8/22 2:04 a.m. A guest at an establishment was heard screaming for help.

8/22 2:31 a.m. A gunshot was heard near the 10 block of Touchstone.

8/22 3:50 a.m. A dog had been barking for 45 minutes and sounded upset near the 4100 block of Wood Hill Court.

8/22 5:15 a.m. A suspicious looking vehicle was seen near the 13000 block of Rogers Road.

8/22 5:58 a.m. A man was seen sleeping in a car near the 2700 block of Lakeview Boulevard.

8/22 7:27 a.m. A suspicious looking vehicle was parked partially in the road near the 17800 block of Stafford Road.

8/22 8:53 a.m. "Very loud" music was reported during church services near the 1800 block of South Shore Boulevard.

8/22 11:59 a.m. A caller said a friend of a friend was harassing them and making implied threats via text. Apparently this happened in Florida on a fishing trip.

8/22 2:44 p.m. A dog had been barking for five hours near the 16800 block of Cortez Court.

8/22 6:42 p.m. Kids were seen flipping chairs near the 90 block of B Avenue. They denied doing this.

8/22 10:27 p.m. A domestic incident was reported.

8/23 1:04 a.m. A caller said they saw kids hanging out by their truck near the 16900 block of Cherry Crest Avenue.
