From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, Friends of Luscher Farm will host an informational open house to recruit new board members. At the open house — which will take place at the White Barn Milk Parlor on the farm — people will have the opportunity to learn more about what the Friends group does.

Friends of Luscher Farm works with the city and parks and recreation department to implement the Luscher Farm Master Plan, which is meant to ensure residents and visitors can best utilize the space.

"We assisted the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation department in building a tool shed for the community gardeners, reroofing the historic barn and planting native trees and shrubs," read the Friends of Luscher Farm press release. "We also orchestrated four successful Twilight on the Farm fundraising dinners and donated money to Hunger Fighters of Oregon, The Lake Grove Garden Club and the Friends of the Rogerson Clematis Collection in support of their programs on the farm."

People who have experience and skills in grant writing, fundraising, accounting, event planning and web design are encouraged to attend the open house. Those interested in attending should contact Richard Herman at This email address is being protected from spambots.
