For the third consecutive year, the Lake Oswego Review earns General Excellence honors from NNA.

The Lake Oswego Review news team was honored with 16 awards for excellence in writing, advertising and photography at both the state and national level.

In the 2022 Better Newspaper Contest sponsored by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association, the Review was honored with eight awards. The Review also earned eight awards in the National Newspaper Association's 2022 Better Newspaper Contest, including a third place General Excellence award for being named one of the nation's best weekly newspapers. General Excellence is the association highest honor.

"I'm really proud of our entire newsroom," said publisher J. Brian Monihan. "Our entire team works very hard each week under some very challenging circumstances to cover Lake Oswego.

"I'm also very proud of Patrick Malee and his leadership of our newsroom. This is the third consecutive year the Review has been recognized as one of the nation's best newspapers. General Excellence is not an easy distinction to earn and I'm thankful for the great team of journalists we have who work very hard to make this happen."
