Signals between Lakeview Boulevard and Upper Drive don't have vehicle detection loops installed due to paving work

The city of Lake Oswego told people to expect traffic delays in the section of the community near Bryant Road between Lakeview Boulevard and Upper Drive, according to a social media post.

The post indicates that because paving work is being completed there, vehicle detection loops have yet to be installed — meaning signals take a prescribed amount of time to turn colors rather than detecting cars at the intersection. The city added that the detection loops are slated to be installed next week in the evening and to expect construction noise during this time.

"Please plan ahead for extra travel time at these intersections. Thank you for your patience while we finalize the paving and detection work," the city post reads.
