Keep your headlights on
I believe that everyone everywhere should drive with your lights on anytime of day or night. It costs nothing to turn your lights on, but most people don't do it. You can see lights coming at you, you can see a car behind you. It is for YOUR protection, you want to be seen on the road. Please turn your lights on for your safety and those of others ... at least in Lake Oswego ...
Congress must control spending
I read with interest the pallid explanation by our congressional representative for his useless vote to impeach President Trump.
The President, who is charged with conducting foreign affairs, did what any good businessman would do in his circumstance, squeeze a corrupt customer 'till they get the message that you're serious about what's been going on and concerned about the financial shenanigans of Biden and his son.
A slap on the wrist would have been enough to get a bipartisan support to let the President know he was out of order in overlooking government rules and functions. At the same time Congress spent minutes on a $1.4 trillion budget placing the government more in debt.
Wouldn't it be great if the LO Review and all neighborhood newspapers in the USA say to our congressman and woman that we will campaign against Congress if they do nothing to balance the budget and pay down the debt being handed down to our future generation. The Review and its affiliated papers should lead the charge, nationwide, in getting local papers nationwide to have a great campaign for debt reduction. Your subscribers must balance their household budgets, why not Uncle Sam?
