Tryouts are open to all current high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors

Lacrosse tryouts for the Women's Division National Tournament Team are coming to Lakeridge High School on April 15.

The tryouts are open to all current high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors, and are set from noon to 3:30 p.m. at Lakeridge, but players must register ahead of time to participate. The sign-up deadline is April 13 and players can click here to register.

Those selected will get to be part of the Oregon team that will participate in the National Tournament over Memorial Day Weekend, well known as the biggest college recruiting event of the year.

The 2018 National Tournament will be held in Stony Brook, New York, at Stony Brook University. In addition, the team will get the chance to watch the NCAA women's lacrosse finals at Stony Brook.

Tryout participants should wear a white T-shirt with no logos and dark shorts, bring their own lacrosse gear, appropriate layers for the weather, snacks and water. Players should arrive between 11:30-11:45 a.m.

The tryouts will include a warm-up, stations, running and a full-length scrimmage.

For those selected to the Oregon team, the approximate cost of the trip is $1,000-$1,200 (including everything except food and spending money). Players can significantly reduce the cost through fundraising that Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association and National Team coaches will help with.
