Ten Lake Oswego Water Polo athletes named to PNW Olympic Development teams
The Lake Oswego Water Polo Organization's best players, it turns out, are also among Oregon's best, and maybe, America's best, too.
LOWPO had 10 players named in March to the Pacific Northwest Olympic Development Program teams. That group included Evelyn Miller, Cassidy Schneider, Sydney Brandvold, Brooke Plasse, Keri Glad, Cascade Stensland, Molly Glad, George Heslig, Gavin Barkley and Torin Ferguson. In addition, LOWPO head coach Aukai Ferguson was selected to lead the development team.
LOWPO's players were selected by the United States Water Polo Olympic Development Program to compete against teams from across the country at a pair of tournaments — the boys event was held March 8-10 and the girls March 15-17, both in Riverside, California.
