There were crosstown battles, longtime rivalry games and contests to decide league championships and playoff berths.

There were big results from across the state, but with more than 100 games on the schedule for Friday, Nov. 1 — from the smallest Class 1A school with a football team to the state's biggest Class 6A programs — it's a challenege for even the most dedicated fan supposed to keep up with it all.
