Donations to Review support Lake Oswego nonprofits
Wow! A few weeks ago, the Lake Oswego Review and other Pamplin Media Group publications launched our first ever donation campaign to fund ongoing coverage of how the novel coronavirus is affecting each of our communities.
Thanks to readers in Lake Oswego and throughout the state, we are nearing the $25,000 mark which has allowed us to begin bringing back newsroom staff laid off when our advertising revenue dropped dramatically in March.
In early May, reader Grant Johnstone of Johnstone Financial gave $1,000 to the Review. That amazing donation was truly appreciated by our staff.
Donate today and help support three worthy nonprofits: Lake Oswego Schools Foundation, the Arts Council of Lake Oswego and the Lakewood Center for the Arts
Two easy ways to donate:
• sign in through Facebook
And, as a way of saying "thanks" to Grant and all our other donors, we have decided to share our good fortune.
Starting June 17, every dollar donated to the Lake Oswego Review's COVID reporting fund will be matched with free advertising to each of three local nonprofits that are helping our community during these difficult times.
So, if you make a tax-deductible gift of $25, $50 or $100 to the Review, we will give that same amount in advertising to each of these three great organizations:
— Lake Oswego Schools Foundation
— Lakewood Center for the Arts
So, that $50 contribution from you is generating $150 in contributions from us.
My goal is to raise $3,000 for each of these charities in the next two weeks — or sooner. You can make that happen by donating on one of our two fundraising platforms, our donation site or Facebook.
Thanks so much.
