Meet new varsity coaches at Lakeridge, Clackamas, La Salle, West Linn high schools.

Here's a look at some of the new varsity coaches who will be gracing the sidelines in Clackamas County this fall. The first contests kick off on Thursday, Aug. 26.

Nick Lewis

Sport: Lakeridge girls soccer

Coaching background: Coach at United PDX (formerly BSC Oregon), 2016-present; assistant girls coach at Wilson, 2019-20.

Greatest accomplishments: Helped lead Wilson girls varsity team to a Portland Interscholastic League championship in 2019.


Monty Hawkins

Sport: La Salle boys soccer

Coaching background: JV boys coach at Central Catholic, 1989; head boys coach at La Salle, 1990-95; head women's coach at Portland State University, 1996-99; assistant coach with Portland Pythons men's professional indoor soccer, 1999-2001; head coach with Portland Rain women's semi-professional soccer, 2000-01; USYS Region IV and Oregon Youth Soccer Association, head and staff coach Olympic Development Program, 1992 to present; director of coaching with 3 Rivers United Soccer Club (today known as Eastside Utd), 1992-2001; director and staff coach with Westside Metros/Timbers club soccer, 1998-present; head boys coach at Sherwood, 2007-2021; owner/operator of Tualatin Indoor Soccer, LLC, 2002 to present.

Dustin Janz

Sport: La Salle football

Coaching background: head coach at Oregon City 2017-21; head coach at Reynolds, 2013-17; assistant coach at McClintock High School in Tempe, Arizona, 2007-2013; assistant coach at Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona, 2004-2007.

Greatest accomplishments: Janz has served as a Class 6A head coach in Oregon for the past eight years, helping lift Reynolds into the playoffs twice and build the team's GPA and graduation rate.


Madison Campbell

Sport: West Linn girls soccer

Coaching background: junior varsity coach at Tualatin High School, 2018-2021; coach with Oregon Premier FC; Campbell also played four years at Boise State University.

Greatest accomplishments: Bringing the JV team at Tualatin back to a winning record and helping players grow their skills and move up to the next level of play.


Kate Jette

Sport: Clackamas girls cross country

Coaching background: assistant cross country coach at Sherwood, 2016-2021; assistant track coach (hurdles) at Sherwood, 2016-2021.

Greatest accomplishments: Helped lead the Sherwood boys track team to a second-place finish at the Class 6A state championships; helped lead the Sherwood boys track team to a Class 6A state championship in 2021.
