The Highlights

• Jaxon Steinhauer: Jaxon Steinhauer, a senior running back on the West Linn football team, rushed 12 times for 105 yards and one touchdown to help lift the Lions to a 31-14 win over previously unbeaten and top-ranked Lake Oswego at Lake Oswego High School on Thursday, Oct. 21. Steinhauer's TD — a 19-yard burst up the middle with just 3:21 left to play — put the cap on the Lions' big win.

• Gabe Olvera: Gabe Olvera, a senior running back on the Lake Oswego football team, led his team in both rushing and receiving during its 31-14 loss to West Linn on Thursday, Oct. 21, at Lake Oswego High School. Olvera rushed 22 times for 116 yards in the game and also caught two passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

• Kyle Pahlke: Kyle Pahlke, a junior wide receiver on the Nelson football team, came through with three catches for a team-high 90 yards and one touchdown during his team's 28-7 loss to David Douglas at Nelson High School on Saturday, Oct. 23.

• Mateo Maehara: Mateo Maehara, a junior quarterback on the Clackamas football team, got it done on the ground and through the air during the Cavaliers' 41-7 win over Sandy at Clackamas High School on Thursday, Oct. 21. Maehara rushed three times for 20 yards and one touchdown, and also caught three passes for 42 yards in the win.

• Jake Reichle: Jake Reichle, a senior running back on the Lakeridge football team, carried 22 times for 210 yards and three touchdowns during his team's 21-19 win over Tigard at Tigard High School on Thursday, Oct. 21. His first TD run measured two yards, followed by a 27-yard score and a 66-yard touchdown that provided the Pacers' winning points.

• Jacob Ogden: Jacob Ogden, a junior running back on the Wilsonville football team, led the Wildcats with seven carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns during his team's 41-7 win over Hillsboro at Wilsonville High School on Friday, Oct. 22. On defense — Ogden also plays linebacker — he added two solo tackles and one hurry.
