LO Relay for Life kickoff set for Feb. 13

The American Cancer Society's Lake Oswego Relay for Life will hold a kickoff party at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Hope Community Church,14790 Boones Ferry Road in Lake Oswego. Relay co-chairwomen Rhonda Cohen and Cassie Cumberland encourage all interested people to attend to learn about the event and how to form a team. Willamette United Methodists invite teens to join youth group

Willamette United Methodist Church's Youth Group meets the first Sunday of each month at 10:15 a.m. following the 9 a.m. service. Activities planned include rock climbing and movie night. Marino to address LOWC

Illustrator Angelina Marino will be the guest speaker at the Feb. 19 meeting of Lake Oswego Women's Coalition. She is the illustrator for "Everyone Out Here Knows: A Big Foot Tale," by William Stafford. This event is part of the Lake Oswego Reads citywide reading program, which is focused on Stafford's "Ask Me" collection of poetry. Copies of "Everyone Out Here Knows" will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

The Lake Oswego Women's Coalition meets monthly at Oswego Lake Country Club, 20 Iron Mountain Blvd., Lake Oswego. Cost of the luncheon is $21 per person. Reservations are requested and can be made online at or by calling the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce at 503-636-3634.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 11:45 a.m. for networking and social time.

The March meeting will feature Richard Bloom from R. Bloom's in Lake Oswego.
