Portland Fashion Institute designers to show 2017 lines
Windermere fashion show, boutique benefit low-income families
The third-annual Calm Before the Storm, a benefit for the Windermere Foundation organized by agents in the Windermere West Linn office, will take place from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at Oregon Golf Course, 25700 Petes Mountain Road in West Linn. The event will be a stylish afternoon with boutique shopping, lunch, prizes and a fashion show of select designers from Portland Fashion Institute.
This year I thought it would be fun to do some sort of fashion show, broker Theresa Crough said. Sharon Blair (founder and director of Portland Fashion Institute) responded to my email so we have put together a great event, which will be boutique shopping and a Portland Fashion Institute fashion show.
Local models, as well as a few familiar faces will don fashions ranging from elegant formal gowns to comfortable active wear, celebrating the breadth of design created at the Portland Fashion Institute. Designer lines to be featured include Blairs Studio SKB; Lisa Silveiras Wandering Muse; Lake Oswego designer Jessica Burriss Candy Lagoon; Melanie Bowman Clarks Storyline Apparel; and Becca Prices Lostwood Lane. These designers will showcase their 2017 line of clothing in the fashion show and attendees will be able to purchase items in their boutique shops at the event. Jewelry and accessories from Stella and Dot will also be modeled and available for sale.
This is one of many campaigns Windermere Stellar brokers and staff launch throughout the year to raise funds for Windermere Foundation. Every broker donates a portion of their commission from each transaction to the Windermere Foundation, which benefit local nonprofit organizations that support low-income children and families. Since 1997, Windermere Stellar has raised and donated more than $2 million to more than 100 local agencies through the foundation.
Tickets to the fashion show are $45 and can be purchased online at calmbeforethestorm.online. Those interested in sponsorship opportunities or reserving a table can contact Crough at 503-830-1711.
