SUBMITTED PHOTO - British actor and playwright Alan Shearman will be the guest speaker at the Lake Oswego Womens Coalition meeting Feb. 21. All are invited to hear his humorous account of his zig-zag journey from London to Lake Oswego, via New York, Europe, Africa and Asia.

The Lake Oswego Women's Coalition will hold its regular monthly luncheon meeting Feb. 21 at The Stafford, 1200 Overlook Drive in Lake Oswego.

Guest speaker will be British actor and playwright Alan Shearman, who is in town rehearsing his show, "El Grande de Coca-Cola," which will be presented by Lakewood Theatre Company at Lakewood Center for the Arts.

"El Grande de Coca-Cola" is the 15th show Shearman has directed with LTC, and the only remaining show of the five he co-created to be produced here. "El Grande de Coca-Cola" is said to have kick-started Shearman's career in London 45 years ago and eventually led him to become a resident of the United States. He will share his "zig-zag" journey from The Thames to the Willamette via New York, Europe, Africa and Asia with humor and delight for all.

The Coalition luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. with networking; lunch is served at noon and the program begins at 12:30 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for members and $22 for non-members. Reservations can be made by calling 503-638-1589.

Lake Oswego Women's Coalition programs are open to all, both men and women. The intention of the group is to network, share a great meal and an interesting program. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month, September through May. Annual dues are $20.
