Women golfers get ready to tee it up
Slice it, chip it and put it on the greens!
The Lake Oswego Ladies Golf Club invites prospective members to attend an opening breakfast to be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Lake Oswego Municipal Golf Course, 17525 S.W. Stafford Road, Lake Oswego. This is an opportunity for women of all ages to learn more about the golf club and activities planned for its 49th season.
Play begins April 3 and continues Wednesdays through Oct. 30, when there will be an end-of-the season awards banquet to recognize players of all levels for improvements made throughout the season.
There are two levels of membership. Active members pay $30 annually; social members pay $10 a year. Fees help pay for such activities as the opening breakfast, tournaments, scrambles, the awards banquet, beach trip, a holiday toy drive and potluck lunch. The mission of the LOLGC is to promote the game of golf through social connections, exercise and skill development. The goals are to introduce women to the game of golf, encourage enhanced skill through practice and play, provide activities that bring women together and create experiences that are fun, judgment free and healthy.
