LOWC discusses heritage council
The Lake Oswego Women's Coalition will host its final program of this year's series May 15 starting at 11:30 a.m. at The Stafford, 1200 Overlook Drive in Lake Oswego.
Guest speakers will be Oswego Heritage Council Executive Director Nancy Niland and OHC Archivist Mark Browne discussing the history and mission of the council and the
establishment of Oswego Heritage House.
Niland will discuss the council's efforts building partnerships over the past year and address the efforts in fundraising and financial sustainability of OHC.
Browne will speak about the Archive Room, historical document preservation, community outreach, museum partnerships, exhibit method-
ology and collection forensic interpretation.
The cost of the luncheon program is $18 for LOWC members and $22 for non-members. Reservations can be made by calling 503-638-1589.
The LOWC is a networking group which meets monthly September through May for lunch and an interesting meeting. There is no committee work or obligation beyond the monthly program. Those interested in joining can call 503-638-1589. Annual dues are $10 per year.
