Girl Scouts hosting Back to Scouting event

Girl Scout's Service Unit 9 serving West Linn, Wilsonville and Lake Oswego, is offering a free drop in Back to Scouting event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at Tualatin Community Park, 8515 SW Tualatin Road in Tualatin. Attendees receive a free patch, plus get to do crafts, sing songs, meet current Girl Scouts and complete steps to earn badges.

All girls from kindergarten to high school seniors are invited to attend.

Love to sing? Join West Linn Community Chorus

West Linn Community Chorus invites people interested in joining the chorus to attend the first three rehearsals of the fall season, starting Aug. 29. Rehearsals are held each Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 19200 Willamette Drive in West Linn. The chorus is a four-part, non-audition chorus which performs a variety of choral music from all over the world. Rehearsals for the fall season will culminate with holiday concerts.

All voice types are welcome, especially tenors and basses.

Oregon Right to Life to hold Snow Ball

Oregon Right to Life invites all to attend a Snow Ball dinner and auction Sept. 28, beginning with a silent auction at 5 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:45 p.m. and the oral auction follows. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn, 3301 Market St NE, Salem, OR 97301.

Proceeds benefit the educational programs of Oregon Right to Life, including fair and special event displays around the state. Registration cost is not tax deductible.

Tickets are $53 each, raffle tickets are $10 each.
