Christian Writers Conference taking place at Rolling Hills Community Church
West Linn author Pastor Gordon Grose will teach a workshop Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Oregon Christian Writers fall conference to be held at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin. Grose is the author of the award-winning book "Tragedy Transformed: How Job's Recovery Can Provide Hope for Yours."
Grose will discuss the steps required to publish a book from initial idea to finished product. In his presentation "So You Want to Write a Book," Grose will andwer questions about ideas, coaching, editing, and learning the craft of writing and discussing the routes to publishing a book.
"If your dream is to write a bok, you can realize it, though not without overcoming inevitable obstacles," he says.
In his book "Tragedy Transformed," Gross uses Job's story to help people recover from tragedy.
He is published in The Upper Room, Bible Advocate adn The Christian Journal. Christianity Today published his article "Though He Slay Me," showing why the popular translation of Job 13:15 is incorrect, in Sept. 2018. The article also includes the correct translation and why it is important.
Grose's is one of eight workshops taking place during the conference, which features an inspirational keynote address by award-winning Colorado author Beth K. Vogt.
