Get a free Bae's Chicken sandwich Saturday at noon
Bae's Chicken, Oregon's only fast-casual, organic fried chicken restaurant, opens to the public Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 225 SW Ash St., Portland. But this Saturday, Nov. 2 at noon Bae's will give away free organic fried chicken sandwiches with a side of cauliflower coleslaw to the first 1,000 guests.
Bae's Chicken is the brainchild of Micah Camden (best known as the driving force behind Little Big Burger, Blue Star Donuts, Boxer Ramen and SuperDeluxe) and the Portland-born NFL defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Bae's Chicken serves both grilled and fried chicken in a variety of preparations: wings will be fried and perched atop waffles, bones are boiled down into stocks and gravy and thighs and breasts end up sandwiched, either fried with sweet tea mayo or grilled. Bae's nuggets are split, deboned drumsticks that are fried skin-on and served with white pepper gravy and fermented hot sauce.
