Take advantage of discounted rates for private, semi-private classes at the LO Golf Course

COURTESY PHOTO - Adult private and semi-private golf lessons will be discounted 20% through February at the Lake Oswego Golf Course.Winter is a great time to take up golf.

As contrary as that might seem there is a reason for that. Private and semi-private adult golf lessons are priced at a 20% discount at Lake Oswego Golf Course. Now through February 2020, private lessons will be offered for individuals or groups of up to four. Individual lessons are 45 minutes in length; semi-private lessons are 50 minutes to one hour in length, depening on the group size. Interested in a playing lesson on the course? Sign up for a one-hour on-course lesson with up to four people for $120. Visit lakeoswegogolf.org for instructor rates, bios and booking information.

Tinseltown Trolley Rides

Discover the magic of the holiday season with a yuletide ride on the historic Willamette Shore Trolley. Children will delight in a merry experience aboard the decorated trolley that includes holiday lights, games, sweet treats, carols and more. As the trolley makes its way back to the station, guests are treated to a visit from a very special guest all the way from the North Pole. Rides are approximately 45 minutes. Holiday Workshop

Make Your Own Holiday Centerpiece — Learn how to create your own holiday table centerpiece and leave with a beautiful and personal creation. Scholarship Program

The Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department offers a limited number of partial scholarships for city and school district residents needing financial assistance. Resident applicants may receive up to 50% of the cost of a program/class, or up to a maximum of $50 per class, and a maximum of $160 per person per fiscal year (July1-June 30) and a maximum of $300 per fiscal year per family. A completed application must be submitted 10 business days prior to the program/class start date for processing.
