Get help tracing your family tree
The Genealogical Forum of Oregon (GFO) will offer more than 40 free classes to help beginners learn how to trace their family tree during its annual Genealogy Open House March 13-22.
Each year in the spring GFO hosts 10 days of classes at its annual open house, all are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
This year's open house will include Beginners Day, DNA Day, Software Day, and Irish Day, plus guest speaker John Schmal will lead two sessions on Mexican genealogy. There will also be presentations on Oregon Donation Land Claim records and Online Black Historical Newspapers and many more.
All sessions are free and open to the public at the GFO Library in the historic Ford Building located at 2505 SE 11th Ave. at Division Street in Portland.
