Life is still going on at LOACC
This is not the way the staff of the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center envisioned spending its 50th year of service, with the building closed to the lifeblood, the people we serve, older adults of Lake Oswego and our volunteers.
Even with programs, activities and communal lunch canceled, the staff is working hard to stay in touch with our participants and serve from a distance.
The ACC staff is preparing and delivering Meals on Wheels, limiting person contact as much as possible. We are calling participants with a friendly call to keep them socially engaged and providing friendly conversations.
To continue our support groups we are offering a conference call in lieu of an in-person group. The ACC staff is busy working to keep our basic services up and running and getting the building cleaned and ready for everyone's return.
Lunches will be available by delivery from Meals on Wheels. The menu this week features meatloaf on Friday, March 27; turkey chili on Monday, March 30 and Rueben sandwiches on Wednesday,
Cost is a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and over and $5 for everyone else.
The LOACC is located at 505 G Ave., Lake Oswego, 97034.
A list of activities and support groups can be found on our website, loacc.info, using the menu found on the left side of the website, click on "Activities" and "Services" for more details.
