COURTESY PHOTO: 123RF - Don't miss an upcoming virtual estate planning class. The Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation team has done an outstanding job of offering programs virtually. And it is the pleasure of the ACC to add to those offerings with Estate Planning 101! Attorney Michael Rose presents on how to protect yourself and your assets in the event you lose capacity or pass away. We will discuss why you must have more than a will in place; how to protect your family if you need long term care; how to avoid the cost and stress of probate; and tips to help reduce and avoid estate taxes. In addition, we will discuss options for folks with no family and limited resources. The presentation will be done via Zoom, which is typically done through the camera and audio through your computer. If your computer doesn't have a camera, a person can join via a phone and participate through audio. This is a great opportunity to learn about estate planning and get your questions answered by attorney Michael Rose. The presentation will be conducted Wednesday, June 17 starting at 9 a.m. The cost is free but seats are limited to allow for all questions be answered in a timely manner.
