F.I.D.O. has created a food bank for dogs and cats where people can go and pick up what they need.

In all the chaotic changes happening around us it is easy to forget that our most vulnerable population have pets. In addition, in these difficult times it may be difficult for some people with limited means to feed their pets. The ACC has knowledge of a resource that can help, F.I.D.O. (Friends Involved in Dog Outreach) of Clackamas County; don't let the name fool you, they provide for cats too. F.I.D.O. has created a food bank for dogs and cats where, once the paperwork is complete, people can go and pick up what they need. F.I.D.O. also offers a program called AniMeals, where they team up with Meals on Wheels to deliver pet food. And of course, F.I.D.O. accepts donations of unopened food and monetary contributions. F.I.D.O is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2004 and according to their website, F.I.D.O. provided over 288,584 meals for 4,741 pets in 2019. To take advantage of this resource please call F.I.D.O. at 971-678-6940 or visit their website at www.FIDOAniMeals.org.

At this time, we are not able to host lunch in the dining room. We are offering Meals on Wheels to those that qualify and lunch to go for pickup. For more information on either option, please call the center. Lunch this week is as follows, Friday, June 19 – puttanesca, Monday, June 22 – Shepheard's pie, Wednesday, June 24 – fish tacos. The cost of the meals is a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and over and a $5 fee for everyone else. The lunch menu is subject to change without notice due to COVID-19. The LOACC is located at 505 G Ave., Lake Oswego, 97034. A list of activities and support groups can be found on our website, loacc.info, using the menu found on the left side of the website, click on "Activities" and "Services" for more details.
