COURTESY PHOTO: 123RF - A program for those wondering 'Who am I now?' is scheduled Aug. 18.With each phase in life we adjust our roles and responsibilities. For a while, we may be a parent of a young child or the caregiver for an ailing parent. A typical constant in our lives is employment, the responsibility to work hard and provide income to pay for the necessities and luxuries in life. That constant is often the thing that keeps us grounded as we move though the phases of life. Then one day we retire, we celebrate and are congratulated. We have lost the identity and responsibility of employment, now what? The program "Who Am I Now" presented by VIEWS (Volunteers Involved for the Emotional Well-being of Seniors) helps explore who you are at this point in your life, retired or not. Discover what bring meaning to your life, discuss with peers the pros and cons of these changes, and bring clarity to how you will define yourself during this stage of life. The presentation is virtual, through Zoom on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
