Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation is ready to go as the calendar turns from summer to fall. Check out what's available in the coming months; there are plenty of options that are safe during the pandemic.
Dance for Kids & Adults
Tap 1 for Kids – A fun and basic introduction to tap that focuses on rhythm and movement. Ages 5-9, 5:15-6 p.m., Mondays, Sept. 14-Oct. 19, Christ Church Parish (CCP), $55.
Hip Hop for Kids – An intro to hip hop that includes basic freestyling technique and choreography. Ages 5-9, 5:15-6 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 16-Oct. 21, CCP, $55.
Teen/Adult Essential Ballet – It's never too late to begin or resume dancing. Work on proper body alignment to build strength, technique, and flexibility. This class is for those who are new to ballet and those who would like to improve their basic technique. Ages 14+, 7:05-8:20 p.m., Mondays, Sept. 14-Nov. 16, Academy of Ballet & Dance, $195.
Virtual Drop-in Yoga – Join us virtually in the comfort of your home. Classes are designed to welcome you whether you are new to yoga or experienced. Through traditional yoga poses we will explore the connection between mind and body while building strength and flexibility. All poses can be adapted to fit your abilities. The drop-in options allow flexibility and can be purchased 1, 5, 10 and 15 class increments. Drop-ins are valid Sept. 9-Dec. 16. Please have a yoga mat available. No class Nov. 11. Ages 18+. Classes are held Monday and Wednesdays 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Raise Your Voice in Song
Lake Singers Choir – All aspiring singers are welcome to join this group, no experience required. Take the time to find your voice, learn how to use it and sing your heart out. Ages 6-10, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 16-Oct. 21, CCP, $77.
Just Sing – Whether you have not sung in years or you have been singing your entire life, come use your voice and be heard. Learn the basics of proper vocal techniques, warmups and vocal health. This class provides physical and mental benefits and the chance to socialize with other music lovers. Ages 18+, 5-6:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 16-Oct. 21, CCP, $69.
Adult Music Classes
Uke Can Do It! – The "uke-can do it" course is dedicated to learning the ukulele, a tiny instrument with a big sound. Learn how to play your favorite songs, as you get to know more about this awesome instrument. Ages 18+, 4:30-5:30 p.m., Mondays, Sept. 21-Oct. 26, CCP, $51.
Ukulele Intermediate — Continue your "uke" knowledge with this intermediate course. Beginning "Uke Can Do It" class or prior playing experience required. Ages 18+, 6-7 p.m., Mondays, Sept. 21-Oct. 26, CCP, $51.
Ladies Only Golf Clinic – Comprehensive coverage of all subjects golf twice weekly over 4 weeks. Each week our pros introduce and demonstrate a single aspect of the swing or short game and then help you do it yourself. Fee includes a card valid for four 9-hole rounds of golf. Beginners or intermediate ladies welcome. Ages 18+, 10-11 a.m., Tues/Thurs, Sept. 15-Oct. 8, LO Public Golf Course, $100.
Piano for Adults – Learn the basic skills of piano on a keyboard. Group lessons introduce students to the basic of music theory. Learn to play songs, read music and rhythmic expression. Ages 18+, 2:30-3:15 p.m., Fridays, Sept. 25-Oct. 30, CCP, $72.
