If you are someone that has not experienced much loneliness, an upcoming Ted talk is eye opening.

We have two engaging opportunities coming up, one is Bingo. Virtual Bingo is open to all ages from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. The week prior Bingo cards will be available for pick up at 425 2nd Street during business hours in a basket outside the front doors. Sign up by calling the front desk at 503-635-3758 and the link to the game will be emailed to you. We will play three games and prizes will be awarded. The second engaging opportunity we have to offer is a TED Talk and discussion on Thursday, Jan. 7, from 11 a.m. to noon. The talk is about an innovative video game that explores the "monsters" of loneliness. If you are someone that has not experienced much loneliness, this Ted talk is eye opening. At this time, we are not able to host lunch in the dining room. We are offering Meals on Wheels to those that qualify and lunch to go for pickup. For more information on either option, please call the center. Lunch this week is as follows, Friday, Jan. 1 – CLOSED, Monday, Jan. 4 – sweet and sour pork, Wednesday, Jan. 6 – pasta primavera. The cost of the meals is a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and over and a $5 fee for everyone else. The lunch menu is subject to change without notice due to COVID-19. The LOACC is located at 505 G Ave., Lake Oswego, 97034. A list of activities and support groups can be found on our website, loacc.info, using the menu found on the left side of the website, click on "Activities" and "Services" for more details.
