Highway 211 crash early Wednesday sends one to hospital
A car crash near Yoder early Wednesday morning resulted in one driver being sent to a local hospital after another driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign, according to an incident report from the Oregon State Police.
Around 6 a.m. Wednesday, Debra Rae Orfield, 62, was traveling eastbound on Highway 211 towards Molalla when she was struck on the driver side by a vehicle driven by Nicole Cheri Bethel, 26, that failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection of Highway 211 and Highway 170, according to the police report.
Bethel was transported to Legacy Silverton Medical Center for injuries while Orfield remained uninjured. A search for "Nicole Bethel" on the hospital website's patient condition report database did not yield any results.
Bethel was issued a citation/warning, according to the police report, and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
